DA, I'd be all over a Sig Boys Club. Then we could get together and talk about our big, expensive "jaguars" without making everyone else as jealous. ;D
Sorry, I guess we all have our obsessions.

Oh, I'll second that Jonathan. I was just refering to the silly car-comparison thread and a couple other discussions where Glocks and Sigs were likened to Jeeps and Jaguars, respectively.
Mercedes is a better comparison. A fine piece of aesthetically pleasing and functionally brilliant Swiss/German engineering.

Yea; You Boys are right, I often compared the Sig Sauers to the German Engineers of performance and Quality, myself. Most producers of manufactured goods in the U.S. only conform to the customer's requirements, where some German Firms exceed those requirements that most Americans are accustomed to. To measure performances of a product, some base it on accuracy, as with a Swiss time piece ( Swiss Industrial Group), and tolerances. Tolerances and variances of performance standards are how this country almost fell into an economic depression during the mid seventies, of the 20th century, with some areas never recovering to this day. Sig came along when those tolerances and variances were the accepted standard for semi- auto matics chambered in the .45 acp. I've often referred to the Sig Sauers as the Mercedes Benz of Double Action Semi Automatic Pistols, for obvious reasons.Let me go now, in order to open our Sig Boys Club.

Johnathon; It seems that the Sig Boys are gaining some ground on you; I can read all I want to from others about the Walther on the Walther Forum, what I want is, You to pour your heart out on this pistol and tell me what Jonathan feels; I'm talking about functional beauty, the kind that makes you feel like you've died and gone to shooting heaven, when you fire this piece. The kind of feelings that tell me that this pistol makes you a better shooter, and a better man for choosing it. I want to know the real story, as told from a real person, in his own words, about the true romance of a man and his long sought after handgun. ;D

Never mind the Mercedes or Swiss Watch comparisons...You guys must be a bunch of Republicans that are afraid of the vote count that Ruger might get. ;D Yep, manipulation of the "popular" vote that's what I'm seeing. Just how close to Florida do you guys live? I've seen this done with elections you know. Does the term "hanging chads" ring a bell?

Flipper; I am kind of disappointed with Ruger not being in the run off. I have two Rugers, myself, and I shun favoritism among handguns in my collection. The Ruger Vaqueros are the strongest of my Single Action Revolvers and I like how the cylinder spins when the loading gate is opened. The trigger and hammer has a sound in the action like no other revolvers I own. I often spin the Rugers while doing holster drops for entertainment to family members on certain rare occaissions, and the sound effects add alot to the display. These pistols, chambered in the 44-40 shoot with such smoothnest with very little recoil, it's hard to put them down. I am more fond of the carbon steel Vaquero over my Stainless but not by much, that is why I have both.

Sorry, Walther guys..... Even though I absolutely love my P99, I love my SIG just a little bit more. Don't let either of them know, though, k? They both think they're my favorite

Double Action Have you ever tried the Vaquero with the bird's head handle and grips on it? I used a friend's Cimarron with the Bird's head handle at a SASS comp, very nice. Talked to the local Grin n' Shoot and they are bringing a Vaquero in with the Bird's head for me to look at.

Despite being in the Walther camp on this thread (just barely), what I'd like to see is either Walther make an alloy P99 with SIG precision, or SIG make a 239 that feels as good in my hand and has the style of a P99.

What is there not to love about it? You name it and its got it. I really don't know what else you want me to say about it? Do you want me to give you specific specs and dimensions on the gun? I would take the P99 over any Sig, any H&K and any 1911. I would paid a lot more for this gun. I feel that I got a great deal for $673.79 The P99 is me...I've already stated why I love it in numerous posts... The Walther P99 is a new Porsche 911 Turbo GT3.
