Spencer; I've been shooting Sigs for almost ten years, I have eight of the pistols, in .38 super, .357 sig, .40 S&W, and .45 acp. I have shot Gold Dots, Hydra-Shoks, Tritons, Corbons, Winchester SXT, Starfire, Winchester Silvertips, and many, many more without one single hicup. You know nothing about what you are talking about.

Wow!!! You are soooo cool! And your wrong, I know plenty of what I speak. It is really good to come to a "informational forum" and get attitude from some guy who doesnt agree with what I say. And then tell me I have no idea what im talking about. Do you feel any better about yourself now??? I hope so. I came here for good info. And trying to leave a little myself. And this info I leave is all so very true. Sorry pal if ive offended you in some way. Although I dont know how I could have. Personnaly I dont care how long or what youve been shooting. I have been shooting for quite awhile myself, maybe not as much or as many dif guns or calibers as you, but that does not mean that I have no idea about what I say. God huh? Ego trip much? Hey everybody watch out for God.... ! Nobody knows as much as him. Can I get your autograph??? Pleeeeeease???

Oh yeah, and I seriously doubt that you have NEVER had one failure to feed out of any of those 8 pistols, and with every kind of ammo you described. Really, do you work for Sig?

Wow, guys, let's behave. We're too old for this kind of bickering and personal attack.
And by the way, spencer, I have two Sigs and have shot about 3000 round through them, without a single FTE, FTF, Stovepipe, or misfire in the bunch. I've put a few kinds of defensive ammo through them, too.
I'm not arguing that HKs are reliable, Sigs are too, though. They do require a little more attention, perhaps, as the tight tolerences don't leave as much room for built up crap, but it would have to be REALLY dirty to effect the function much. Your friends could also have worn out springs, I know the springs in Sigs wear about as fast as any gun, just due to the design.

I know Sigs are not by any means unreliable. I was just simply stating that HKs are a wee bit better, IMO. That is no reason to get all stupid sarcastic on me. Know what im sayin?

Gotcha, I understand. We're usually pretty civil on this forum, so you don't have to worry.
Personally, Sigs and HKs are the two guns in the world that I would never, EVER worry about trusting my life to. My two favorite combat autoloaders, from my short experience.

There is several reasons why the Sig Sauer semi-automatics feed and function so well; one being the ramped barrel, another is the barrel cam and upper locking block to the wide port of the slide, rather than the link and upper lugs commonly found in the 1911. The spring tension of the external extractor also contributes to the ejection and extraction of spent cartridges. The close tolerances of fit with the full length rails and slide incorporated barrel bushing assures consistancy of continued operation of the pistol from one round to the next. With many Sigs, the multi stranded wire recoil spring retains superior strength, added to the consistant even compression on it's full length guide rod. Unlike some pistols, recoil of the Sig' Slide comes to rest upon the compression of the closed recoil spring, rather than that of the recoil spring plug, guide rod , and frame. The Sigs are noted most for their feed and reliability, erogonomic design, lightweight aircraft grade aluminum frame, superior accuracy, and ingenius lockwork design, which we won't get into on the thread. I'm the Coltman to you.

Good one God! Thats original... I ... guess.... Seriously though, did you just get done playing Dungeons and Dragons? Maybe we should call you dungeon master. That was a joke. Really I would appologize for offending you, however that may be, I just dont recall doing it in the first place. But I appologize anyway.

So im a ninny cuz of my opinion? Thats freedom for ya. Anyone else got somethin to say about this? Is this because Im new? Dude stop crying. This is a freaking message forum on the internet. You love H&K as they put out great guns. You can rub that H&K crap all over our faces if you so desire but don't expect us to like it. What do you think because your H&Ks cost a little more than the rest of the best that that makes them superior?? Forget about it dude, thats your opinion. You can keep your H&Ks... I would take a nice Walther, Sig or Glock over ANY H&K. THAT IS MY OPINION. If you don't like it well thats TOO BAD!! Walthers, Sigs, Glock and H&Ks are ALL top of the line handguns. To say that one is better than the other is STRICTLY preference. All of those four make high quality, durable, accurate and effective handguns. It comes down to the look of the gun and how it feels in your hand. They're all top of the line handguns. You stated your opinion and then you get pissed when someone disagrees with you. Well thats life. You're right, this is a free country and that is why I have the right to disagree with you. Get over it... By the way, check out the results of the poll. It doesn't look like most here would agree with your opinion.

Not to ruffle your feathers Jonathan b/c I don't want this to turn into another unpleasant confrontation, but I disagree. Arguing aesthetics is pointless because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If, however, there is a general consensus on what makes a gun good; accuracy, reliability, etc. among knowledgeable people, than I think that you can make an argument as to which gun is "best". Granted, you can make sub catagories such as "best concealable revolver" etc. , and maybe no one would ever be convinced of the others argument, but I think it can be argued to an extent.
