Well someone must have said something really bad, for a higher power to delete all the posts. Its a shame to have such a nice informative forum like this to have all the posts deleted.

Don't panic just yet....it MAY just be some sort of maintanance. Maybe moving files to another hard drive or server.......we can HOPE that's it.

yes i hope that its just some sort of maintanance. because this is the best forum that i have been to in a long time.. it had alot of great posts on it, i liked going back every once in a while and looking at the older threads, there was alot of great information on those older threads

Hey Mr. Bond, just in case you hadn't read my response before things disappeared: I conceeded the parts interchangability point to you. Why didn't you say so earlier?!? Would of saved us both alot of bandwidth. . . oh, yeah, seems that bandwidth has done a vanishing act. . . . Anyway, on that one point - the slides not swapping - you win.

Next on the agender:
I think someone on this forum must have upset the higher power. I think most of you know how hard it is to start up a forum like this and moniter it so as things don t get out of hand. I just hope all that valuable info is not gone. I kinda don t think it is a maintance thing, as i have been on this forum for sometime and never seen this site down ever. Something was said to someone to have this happen. I think they have had it with the B S and so on . This has to be one of the best sites for information and great chat in general. Who ever it was that broke the camels back should make amends. If in fact if this is what it is all about

I think Mr. Bond is right. I think that the bickering and questionable language caused this.
If I have any responsibility in this b/c of my bickering w/ Jonathan, I apologize to every one.

One last thing, Do you know how many posts are gone. There were pages and pages of post for everyone. Now you can count them on one hand. There was so many links to different sites leading to info. I hope tommorow when I wake up this was one bad dream.

I hope the bickering didn't cause this. It is obvious that certain obnoxious posters are barely 21 years old, if that. I admit it was getting old, but surley that wouldn't cause a mass deletion without warning.

Close to 14,000 posts are gone. That's the bad. The good is, we still have it all "in our heads" and information can be reproduced. I wouldn't waste any time posting it on here though. It's liable to disappear at any time. Put your thoughts and informative posts on DA's new forum: handguns.proboards24.com/index.cgiHe will have TOTAL control over what goes on, rather that just being a moderator. With the help of the good people on this board, we can build a new knowledge bank. |
