Is an H&R model 999 considered a very reliable or dependable revolver?

Texgun; I only had one H&R .22 rimfire revolver in my lifetime, and from my own experience, I preferred to go on to better built handguns. My father had a Colt Frontier Peacemaker that, not only shot rings around my H&R, he did not have his Colt fall apart while he ejected empties, which my H&R did. I was very young at the time and learned a good lesson in having a quality handgun; It was then that I stepped up to the Smith & Wessons, Colts, and Rugers. Maybe some H&R guns are better than others, not for me to find out and risk being embarrassed again. I did hear that Marlin Firearms bought out H & R.
