I'm a little new to the whole firearm scene, so I would like to know the perfect
1. Make
2. Model
3. Calibur
4. Price
of a good conceal carry handgun.
My friends have told me so far that .40 is a great starting calibur and that Beretta and Taurus are great brands. I would like to know your opinions.

Well,
if there was only one perfect handgun, we wouldn't need all of the others. ;D
A better question is: What is the perfect handgun for you? That's not necessarily the one that works for me.
Chances are, you probably won't find the perfect mix of feel, accuracy, concealability, caliber, price, etc in one gun. You need to take all these into consideration and make a choice from there.
I'd start by determining the caliber you like and go from there. Most feel that 9mm is the smallest that they are comfortable with. I carry a .380auto that's a bit smaller than that. Some won't carry less than a .45. After that, decide if you feel better about a revolver or a semi-automatic. Then the fun begins: Find out all you can about every gun that interests you. Ask lots of questions. Take a handgun safety course.
As regards the brand; General Motors makes Corvettes and Geo Trackers. Handgun manufacturers can have the same range. The model is more useful to research than the brand in most cases.
Take a look at the other two forums referenced on these threads. This forum (although recovering) has lost most of the regulars since it went unmoderated. There's a wealth of knowledge in the memberships.
Good luck, MLB
