Huckleberry, eh? Very good! Tied in Mark Twain and one of my favorite Westerns, the Kurt Russell version of Wyatt Earp. That was Doc Holiday's favorite term...

Callahan; These Tritons are among my favorites in the .40 S&W and .357 sig, they shoot very smooth, even from the smaller 239.I shoot them only occaissionally because of the price. I like their Hi Vel and Quick Shok www.triton-ammo.com

Yea;One of my favorite westerns as well.I have three different runs on that movie, authentic gear also, unlike the buscadero rigs worn in the Kevin Cosner Earp movie.Doc had one heck of a set up with those Colts.

Those Quik-Shok 's are nice - BTW boasting 1450 fps from a 4 1/4" bbl in the 115gr. QSHP .357sig.
CorBon has a 115gr. JHP that lists @ 1500 fps from a 4 1/2" bbl.
I personally love the sig round, owning a Glock 31C. The only negative I have is the incredible amount of noise and, actually, some cases of TEXT penetration on soft targets.

D/A I am always a magnet for this guy with his .357SIg. I cram in plugs and then muffs and still my teeth rattle. I gotta get one. I love the idea of dropping in a .357 Sig barrel in my P229 .40. Some one had said go with the glock for that reason. Glock, Sig, the XD's all can convert barrels guys. DocGlock

Callahan: I posted something about Jim Cirillo's TFSP and ExpHP bullets somewhere around here. That stuff is blistering hot with velosities. The .45 acp in a 90gr. Total Fragmenting Soft Point has a muzzle velosity of 2,036 fps,a muzzle energy of 828, and a fuller index of 99 percent for one shot stopping power;Incredible. The .357 sig will get you a muzzle velosity of 2,820 fps with a 28gr. Epoxy Hollow Point.I'm going to have to get around to checking the prices on this RBCD Platinum Ammo.

I seldom bother with the chore of retrieving the .357 sig brass because it only brings in a 1 cent return on the loaded cases. One time I did pick it up and found one of the necks was ripped open with tears and splits;I saved the case and will download a photo of it "Elsewhere".It doesn't bother me to see one out of a thousand cases like that, just as long as the rest of the case is intact.I actually find the .357 sig with any ammo that I've fired is more fun to shoot than the .38 super +P in the Sig 220,and seems to perform better.I've noticed that alot of pistol manufacturers that have crossed the line from 9mm into .40 S&W and .357 Sig have gone with the stainless slides,as Sigarms has.Glock chambered the .40S&W before anyone else, including S&W.HK has been into it for awhile now,and more upon more manufacturers is jumping on the band wagon to include the .40 S&W and .357 sig chambered pistols in their cavalcade of all stars for the 21st century.I appologize for my enthusiasm, but it is very difficult to restrain when something so good comes along for the semi-autos,that is so affordable to shoot.
