We might have found the top end of the Big Bore revolvers with this new offering from Smith and Wesson. It's no secret that this big cat has been let out of it's bag and Corbon is here to serve up the ammunition. Here's the line up for Corbon: 275 gr. Barnes X,Velocity : 1665 fps / Energy : 1688 ft. lbs./// 400 gr. Hawk SP , Velocity: 1675 fps Energy:2500 ft lbs ///440 gr. HC Cast Performance . Velosity : 1625 fps Energy: 2580 Ft. Lbs. I wonder if they will offer this revolver in a snub nose version? ;D www.smith-wesson.com

I heard you have to wear gloves when you shoot this gun because of the excessive amount of powder. Definitely a sweet gun. My local gander mountain has it...its huge.

Brian;I can only try to imagine what it would be like to shoot one of these,I shoot the .44 magnum Smith & Wessons in 3" to 6 1/2 " barrels lengths with no problems, but I do use the Packmeyer Decelerater Grips on the newer rounded back strap frames to square the butt of the frame and provide a firm hold where the back strap seats in the palm of the hand.Packmeyer grips work best for my hand but with this new revolver I would be inclined to start with the gloves and a rest.I read that it has three times the amount of energy found with the S&W .44 magnum but that remains to be seen.
