Hey everyone, I've recently been boggled by a problem I've had while attempting to reload Winchester .45ACP brass. I use 200 gr. lead semi-wadcutters that are .452" in diameter. After case prep, I tried reloading the Winchester brass with this bullet I normally use with Denel-PMP brass and found out that the reloaded round does not fit into the chamber of my colt. The .452" SWC with the PMP brass works fine together but not with the Winchester. Does anyone have this problem? It seems that the Win brass has a thicker case wall than the PMP. Is this the problem? And if it is, is there a way to fix it. Thanks for any advice. -ct

Simple and relatively cheap way to fix it would be the purchase of a "Lee Factory Crimp" die. It will make sure your finished round is within factory specs and remove any bulge or whatever might have occurred during seating or crimping.
I use it as a 4th stage in my press and I do not crimp with the seating die in stage 3. Works great!

That's great. I was actually reading about the Lee factory crimp die after posting the message and wondered if it would help. THanks for the info, it solidified something I was iffy about. -ct
