If I understand them right, they measure bullet velocity when you fire through the loops. Anyone know how they work?

Good question. I have a Pact and I've never thought about how they work, just as long as they do. As far as I'm concerned, a projectile passes through two sky screens that are wired to a control box, which reads the interval between the two. This gives you your basic informations. The basic chrono will give you: individual shot velocity, standard deviation between multiple shots, average mean velocities, indications of low or high pressures and so-on. I only use mine to obtain velocity and pressure readings. On reflection, this doesn't really answer your question as to how they work - does it? I'm sure someone with more technical expertise will post.

hey guys, I'm thinking about getting a chronograph to actually see what I'm clocking with the reloads that I load. Does anyone have an suggestions about the best all-around chronograph for a good price? Please let me know. Thanks alot.
