I am a motorcyclist. Not the ride 3 and a half blocks to the bar and then to the next bar, dressed like a 70's biker gang dude . . . kinda rider. I am the full armored leathers, helmet wearing, backpack packing, multi-state crossing, corner carving, track day participating kinda rider. I need a concealed carry holster that can be worn under leathers & accessed. Due to the nature of the leathers (two piece but zipped together at the waist except three inches off centerline in front) strong side draw is pretty much ruled out. The leaned forward posture I find myself in makes waist mounting of holsters potentially uncomfortable. This being a job probably better left to a shoulder rig. I am thus in the market legitimately, rather than due to some decade late Don Johnson inspired longing for Miami Vice re-enactment. One I have been considering: gunnersalley.zoovy.com/product/FALCOSHOULDER Does anyone have experince with their product? Is it good stuff or should I consider others. I'd like to keep the price down as I am on a budget & and trying to get the $$$ for a Makarov for more regular concealed carry. While budget is a significant concern, functionality always trumps cost. The gun is SA XD40 4". I'd really like to find a shoulder holster that costs less than a Makarov (to give an approximate price range) edited to delete a redundancy

I saw a leather vest with an integral concealed carry holster at a gun show recently. Have you considered this type of setup?

Man, at $70.00, what's the question? Go for it.
I've been looking for a shoulder rig for my Python so I can carry it under a jacket this winter and I think this will be worth a try.

Macx;Riding a bike with a pistol would be unlike a conventional harness that most wear;you want something that would secure the pistol firm to the body.In the Army we had some shoulder holsters for the 1911 which was that;you may not look the part of Miami Vice but you will defintely fit in with the motorcycle gear. You can pick up on one of these rigs, like the Tank Crews wore, through Sportsmans Guide for alot less than an X-Style harness that hangs.

Fobus also makes a shoulder harness setup that is available for the xd. The holster itself is kydex or simular material and it is reasonably priced. Also the holster can be removed and worn at the waist.
