MAYBE THE DEAL OF THE YEAR?

:oI THINK I MAY HAVE POSSIABLY FOUND THE DEAL OF THE YEAR. MAYBE THE DEAL OF THE CENTURY. I STOPPED BY THIS LOCAL PAWN SH0P AND FOUND IN THE CASE A RUGER P90.WHILE I WAS LOOKING FOR A USED 1911 I WAS CHECKING IT OUT WELL. BESIDE IT WAS A SIG P-239, 357 SIG,WITH THE ORIGINAL BOX. AFTER I WAS DONE LOOKING OVER THE RUGER I ASKED THE GUY ABOUT THE SIG. HE TOLD ME SOME GUY PAWNED IT AND LOST IT. WELL I LOOKED IT OVER AND IT IS LIKE NEW,I WILL GO OUT ON A LIMB AND SAY IT IS 90-95%NEW, WITH THE ORIGINAL BOX,BOTH MAGIZINES,AND THE ORIGINAL BOOK AND THE TEST PAPER. SHOWING WERE THEY TEST FIRED IT. THE GUN HAS NO AND I SHOULD STATE "NO" WEAR AT ALL, NOT EVEN A HAIR SCRATCH.THE RIFLING IS LIKE NEW. THE FEED RAMP LOOKS NEW,THE MAGIZINES NEW.
WELL ALL THAT SAID THEY WERE ASKING $465.00 FOR IT WELL I OF COURSE LOOKING FOR A DEAL GOT THE SALES GUY TO MAKE ME AN OFFER EVEN THOUGHI WAS NOT SO INTERESTED BECAUSE I HAVE BIG HANDS AND THE GRIP IS KINDA SMALL FOR ME. MY PINKY FINGER IS HALF WAY OFF THE EXTENSION ON THE FLOOR PLATE OF THE CLIP. WELL HE MADE ME A OFFER I AM TELLING YOU THE TRUTH, HE SAID HE WOULD LET ME HAVE THE 357 SIG FOR $357.00 + TAXES.I SAID YOU ARE SURE YOU CAN SALE IT FOR THAT HE SAID YES HE EVEN OFFERED ME TO PUT IT ON LAYAWAY FOR $50.00 DOWN. WELL I MADE HIM RIGHT THAT ON THE BACK OF HIS BUSSINESS CARD AND I TOLD HIM I WOULD LET HIM KNOW TOMMOROW.
THE QUESTIONS I HAVE FOR YOU GUYS IS CAN YOU GET EXTENSIONS FOR THOSE MAGIZINES AND IF YOU CHANGED THE GRIPS WOULD IT FILL OUT THE PALM OF MY HAND MORE SO IT WILL FIT MY HANDS MORE I GUESS I NEED MORE CIRCUMFERNCE IN THE GRIP AREA.
WELL GUYS TELL ME ASAP WHAT YOU THINK SHOULD I GO FOR IT OR WAIT TILL I GOT THAT 1911 I AM LOOKING FOR. I NEED A NEW, BETTER CONCEALMENT GUN.

even if that gun is too small for you.....you could use it as a trade in at any gun store to help you get whatever gun you wanted. and you would get far far far more then the $350 you paid for out of it. give me a call and i'll buy it from you!

Yeah you should get it a trade in would get you more off your 1911. But If it was me I would keep the sig. A sig will be my next purchase.

You should have done two things.

1. Put down the $50.00 to hold it. You can always get something else you need if it turns out to be a dud.
2. Write down the serial number and have the PD check it.

On a deal like that, buy it and if it doesn't work out later, make money off it. That is a no lose buy. (assuming the pistol shoots...)

I looked in my Blue Book of Gun Values, it says a Sig P239 in 98% goes for $425, sounds like a pretty good deal.

Get that gun! I don't have one, but that is also my next purchase. Everybody recommends putting a set of Hogue rubber grips on the P239 and they say it is a completely different gun. I am not sure about the extended pinky grip on mags.

Did you feel the pistol with the mag in? It has a little extension in the floor plate and actually makes a pretty big difference.

The other thing I highly recomend is putting Hogue finger groove grips on it. It is like a night and day difference, and just feels perfect.

I have pretty big hands, too, and had the same issues. I didn't even like shooting them that much with the stock grips. But with the Hogues, sweet.

That's a great price for a great gun. BUY IT!!! You will not be dissapointed.

well the stock mag with the extension does not help me any i even tried a houge grip and it did verylittle but the problem i have is my pinky still hangs half way off the end of the finger grove i need adout 3/4" more room on the floor plate and the extension. any suggestions I got rid of my glock 27 for that very reason. even after i added the pearce plus one and the plan pearce grip extension to the mags my hands are just big. I hate to past this deal up but if I can not add any length to the grip I am scared I will have to let this one slide. Any suggestions please help?

Which Houge grip type did you try? The Mono wrap or the panels? The mono seems to fill your hand more. I hated the feel of the P239 in my hands, until I tried the Houges. New animal all together. I put the Mono on my P229 and it really makes a difference there. My hands are not real big though.

Guys i tried the wrap around type and they still left me kinda of unsatisfied and my pinky still hung off the end. Well I guess I am going to past it up. I even tried a compact KIMBER today I BELIEVE IT WAS A CMP OR CPT it was still kinda unsatisfiying the same problem. i guess i am going to have to go with afull size 1911 and stick with my p99 or my h&k. sorry guys but i do not buy guns any more to sit on or try and trade out of i have lost to much money doing so over the past 10 years.
