$460 for the pistol, $170 for the light. $545 $645 Jonathan, I think you are shopping in the wrong places. I won't comment on the asthetics of the Walther P99, but it seems to me you have a HK fixation. Perhaps you should try one............ FWIW, people I knew in the USN used M11s or M9s. Occasionally you would see a personal weapon. It would be a 1911 almost invariably. Now aren't these guns beautiful? ;D Xavier, I never said anything negative about H&Ks effectiveness or quality. As far as I'm concerned H&K put out excellent weapons. They're just hard on my eyes is all I'm saying. Too hard to justify buying one with so many other great makes out there. I will buy a Sig and a Glock before I buy an H&K. I especially don't like the odd looking thin shaped trigger guards on the H&Ks. I hope to one day own an H&K but only after I have aquired some of my other favorites. PS: Xavier, you have a mighty fine collection. Nice pics. That Colt must have been pretty expensive.

... So what is "pretty"? Colt Phython, King Cobra, and Anaconda Pretty much any 1911 style auto except those with double stack grips or rails. Stainless S&W Revolvers Most Stainless Revolvers except some Taurus and all Rossi The Vaquerio and BlackHawk/Redhawk series Ok as you can see...."looks" has nothing to do with facts or utility. Nuff said. You can't leave BHP out when talking about "pretty" guns ;D

Oh, come on. Sigs ugly? Now you're talking nonsense. I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder, but I think that gun is sexy as hell. No disrespect intended, Data. ;D

MLB - I had a Mauherin (probably spelled incorrectly) PP32 cal (Walther) a couple of years ago and it was very accurate and never failed to function properly. Recently I purchased a surplus P1 (P38) and it has turned out to be a fantastic bargain at $299.00. It has yet to bobble in any way, and is more accurate than my tired old eyes. I have shot it side by side with my Sig P239 and it is equally accurate and fun to shoot. My experience has been wonderful with my 2 Walthers, but I have read many posts on other forums which complain about the accuracy of the PPK's. Probably out of a hundred 99 are wonderful, and one is a piece of crap.. You will generally only hear from the guy who got the bad one. Of course "right now" my favorite carry pistol is a Kel Tec P11 9MM. A pistol some folks think of as junk. Mine is excellent. (at $225 no less). JMO

Thanks for the note CB. The PPK is one I'll pick up despite it's reputation rather than because of it. ;D It's just one of those that I'd like to have in my collection.
