I am going to buy a Ruger 10/22 because a lot of people said it is the best .22 rifle if the price is below $200.00, but I found other .22 rifles such as 882 SS 22 Mag Rifle, Henry Lever Action 22, Self-Lading 22 rifle/with scope and 22 Amg bolt rifle on market, their price is very close to Ruger 10/22, somewhere it is looks like better than Ruger 10/22 , I want to know if anyone know about them and can compare with Ruger 10/22?

Ruger 10-22 is the best, most durable .22 rifle available. My first 10-22 is 40 years old and shoots like it was new. I have 4 other 10-22's, 3 standard, and 1- customized with a bull barrel, composite stock, and scope. I also have a Henry, a Winchester, Marlin, Remington, had and sold an AMT, and a couple of Chipmunks. I have recently shot the new Remington. While many compare, and style is always a consideration, (like the Henry) nothing is in the same league as the Ruger, that's why it is copied (AMT, Volquartson,Clark, etc.) and customized, Chevy Challenge Series. If you want a .22 mag., Ruger makes that too.

I would recommend the Ruger 10/22 with the stainless steel barrel, it may cost a little bit more, but it gives you an extra 4 inches of barrel for added accuracy and a sharp looking gun.

My vote is with the Ruger 10/22 because of availablity with the custom aftermarket parts and upgrade options.

Colt45, This forum software doesn't accept downloads directly. you need to host them somewhere on the internet (www.photobucket.com, www.imageshack.com, etc.) and then link to them.

The Ruger 10/22 is as good as you can get for the money in a semi auto. The after market accessories are never ending. I'm kind of old school and stick with the western style. It's pricey but a Marlin Golden 39-A like mine is hard to beat for accuracy and dependability. Good luck on your choice.
