I would to know what is the most silent handgun on the market. Caliber doesnt matter to me as long as it is reliable, silent, accurate. I am mostly concerned about reliablity and noise suppression. I am guessing a suppressed 22 cal would be the most quiet, but what would you guys recommend?

If not annoying the neighbors is your concern, I'd suggest practice with an airgun.

This is one of my options for defeating the noise issue; The German CO2 Powered Dynamit Nobel RWS .177 cal. pellet pistol, featuring a Single Action/ Double Action Trigger system, functional decocker, all steel construction, 8 shot rotary magazine, and velocities averaging 380 fps on a full charge. This pistol is modeled in exact size dimentions to the Sig Sauer P-225.

I'd have to guess some kind of gun that shoots .22 shorts. Suppressors require federal registration, yes? That's not something I'm interested in.
