Hi, please help! I am a first time hand gun buyer, and recently purchased a used Smith and Wesson 4006 (.40) (with noticeable wear) with night sights for $595 and a Remington 870 Wingmaster for field hunting ($795).
I have 14 days to exchange and I am looking for feedback on my purchase and purchase price.
Thanks for any help that can be offered!

Joseph,
Those prices sound a bit high to me. You can get new firearms for that kind of money. At least the handgun prices anyway. You can get a new SW99 in .40 for around $500.
I'm not sure about the Wingmaster, but I got my Reminton 870 Express with 2 barrels for about $300.

YOU GOT RIPPED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im sorry to say that but the handgun and the shotgun are worth really not more than 400 used, if i were you i would tell them i wanted my money back and take your business to a place that wont rape you. if you have a question regarding fare market pricing check gunsamerica.com and look up the gun you are about to purchase and average the prices and that should give you a rough estimate of fair market value or go out and by yourself a firearms blue book you could buy a new bennelli for the price of that wingmaster. well good luck and i hope you can get your money back.

The other guys are right, they saw you coming and ripped you off big time. Those prices were way too high. If you plan to buy more in the future it would benefit you to own a blue book of gun values. The prices are not set in stone but it would give you a better starting point. Good luck.
