A group of outdoor products companies have come out full force behind Kerry. These backstabbers are... Leatherman Tools Columbia Sportswear Mountain Gear Eagle Creek Western Spirit Cycling Mountain Hardware Vibram Werner Paddles Peregrine Outfitters Patagonia Horny Toad Active wear Gregory Mountain Products Zumiez Trango American Outdoor Producta Le Travel Store The are companies that will immediately go on my "don't ever do business with them again" list. Notice LEATHERMAN. They do a huge business with hunters, fishermen, and offroaders. We need to DRIVE LEATHERMAN OUT OF BUSINESS. Please, go to their site www.leatherman.com/and use the link provided to tell them what you think. PLEASE DO THIS. I know too many people are too lazy and undedicated to write even a simple email, but I don’t think the good people in this group are. Ross |

No disrespect intended dzrtram, but before I let out a rant to a company that makes a quality product, I'd like a bit more information as to what I'm griping about.
Do you have any details as to how they've "come out full force behind Kerry"?

Yes, there's a post on gunsmith Gary Reeder's site. A customer on there wrote Leatherman and he responded that he emailed back and said that "...he hoped history would prove him right and that he and the others on that list were doing what they thought was the best thing for the outdoors industry collectively." Yeah, right, everyone but hunters, fishermen, offroader, and people who are too sick, too old, too young, have short vacations, and anyone else who can't get in and enjoy our mountains, forests, and deserts without an automobile of some kind. It may be a dry hole, but looking at the banner at the top of the page when I signed in, it looks like it's a lot worse than that. I hope they had no control over that banner. IF any of them have the guts, I wish theywould explain themselves. In every war from Washington to Bush, the cowards and weaklings crawl out from their hiding places under the rocks and whine about the sacrifices being made to protect their worthless yellow skin from harm. And, in pretty much every war, except Vietnam, which wasn't a declared war, they were wrong. Soldiers deserted Washington and went to the other side. Thousands of people wanted to kill Lincoln. Even FDR was criticized by some of the not-so-great members of the "Greatest Generation". Maybe they were the ones that raised these self-loving whiners of the X and Y generations. Today we have to live with the result of the spineless pukes that wouldn't listen to McArthur in Korea. Now we get to pay for that. Just like the old saying "Pay me now, or pay me later". It's later and we're gonna pay. I hope I've misunderstood why that banner is up there. Let me know if that is the prevailing attitude on this site, and I will never be back. Thanks for the response. Regarding the banner ads; Proboards is a free forum hosting site. The forum admins have no control over the ads. I find it a bit humorous as whoever has paid for those ads has largely wasted his money on this and the other two forums.
Speaking of those two, please do take a look at the forums that Jerome has listed. They are moderated and the info is much better.
