Greetings. I recently bought a Ruger P95 and love it. I now have the itch to buy another gun, but don't know what to buy. I know many of the features that I am looking for, but with so many quality handgun manufacturers I am CONFUSED. Here is what I'm looking for
PRICE: $500-600 CALIBER: .40 S&W Safety: Just about any will be fine, a little intimidated with 1911s, just not that experienced YET. Would like to have tactical rail if possible (or suggestions of how I can put a tactical light on a gun w/o PT rail)
Manufactures of interest CZ (CZ 75BD, P-01 (9mm I know), or 97B 100) Taurus (PT 101SS) Sprinfield arms (XD 40 Service Model or Mil-Spec .45) Magnum research: Baby Desert Eagle Walther P99
Opinions on any or all of these pistols would be appreciated or feel free to suggest something else. I am particulary interested in opinions regarding Taurus. I've heard they have a trigger pull from hell, is this true?
Being in Arizona, conceal carry is an option, but some pistols may not be appropriate to conceal carry (being too big).
Thanks,
buckstopshere

THE TAURUS IS A GREAT GUN.I OWN THE PT92. YOU MAY ALSO WANT TO CHECK THE BERETTA 96 VERTEC. IT HAS A TACTICAL RAIL FOR A LIGHT PLUS YOU CAN ADD A SET OF CRIMSON TRACE LASER GRIPS TO IT.

HI Buck,
Off the top of my head, other options in .40 are offerings from SIG Arms such as the 229, or a Hi Power. Then there's always the Glock too.
You can read reviews of several of the handguns you listed at the Handgun Forum below. I have a Walther P99 in .40 that I've reviewed there.
Good luck.

buckstopshere, There are many good options in .40 . You need to shoot or at least get as many of these guns into your hand to see how they feel to you. Also, what do you want the gun for? CCW, target, glove compartment, nightstand or all of the above? Your best bet would be to go to these forums and post the same question. There are knowledgable people on those forums that would be more than happy to steer you in the right direction. gungroup.proboards3.comhandgunforum.proboards3.com

If you want to CC then I don't see why you would get a PT rail.
I don't know how you could go wrong with a Kahr MK40 or its poly equivalent.
It's a tiny little b*****d and is finely made.
You could buy one from me in your price range.

I like the XDs. Better triggers then the Glocks (and Taurus), plenty of passive safeties, shoot well, accurate and reliable and they have tac rails.
I find them a little bulky for CC and carry a 1911 to be honest. I like a manual safety with a round in the chamber.
