I've decided to purchase an older S&W .38 spl. revolver (no, it is not my main handgun). My preference is a K-frame, possible a Model 10 or Model 15.
I would use wadcutters at the range but do want it to be able to handle +P loads when loaded for defense.
Are Model 10s and 15s suitable for occaisional +P ammo? Is there a difference based on age/serial number?
Thanks.

I would say yes to +P's on a very occasional basis, a steady diet would probably loosen your gun up pretty bad.
