A casual reading of the Bill of Rights reveals that it limits the powers of the government. That is how it protects the rights of the citizens. Thus, the Second Amendment limits the powers of the government, NOT the rights of the People.
Does this make sense, or is it just me?

BroHawk, It makes sense to me. I've got an uncle, who after drinking a few beers, inevitably gets started on the government (or we start him on it! ). One of his catch-phrases is that there is, "Too much damn government!". So, I have to agree. The Bill of Rights is designed to protect the people against the goverment. Okay, I better stop before I get started! My 2 cents.

I always thought that people were censoring themselves on this forum, and now I know that the forum is censoring us...not a complaint, just an observation

I'm still operating in a caffeine deficit this morning. Could you clarify that censoring observation for me?

I think what he was trying to say was that when he typed "damn", he did not put the ** in the middle. Similar occurances happen when you try to type the word "c0cked"...if you spell it with an "o" instead of a zero it comes out "cocked". The "cocked" one is really agitating since it is an industry standard term that has been around for centuries.
