I'm a proud member of the NRA, and so are most of my buddies.......... are there any other organizations out there that I should look into supporting that support the 2nd amendment? I am more than willing to spend a few bucks to keep my civil rights.

I suggest you go straight to the source. Your vote puts people in place who make the laws. Here are a few easy things you can do...
1. Vote 2. Introduce new people into the shooting world 3. Exercise as many of your current rights as possible (i.e. get a concealed permit) 4. Be responsible about your sport (i.e. safe storage of firearms, ask before shooting on private land) 4. Organize a clean up of your local outdoor shooting spot and advertise it by posting flyers or better yet contact the local news. Many outdoor shooting holes are littered with old appliances, TVs, tires, broken bottles and cans, as well as many expended casings and plastic shotgun shells. Since many shooters own trucks and vehicles which can be used to carry out this garbage you can have a bar-b-que, shoot and then clean up. It is not bad with several people working together and it makes the shooting area nicer for all of us and makes us look great to the general public.
