We have a Costco in my neighborhood and I'll check it out next time I'm in there. If I see a 30-0-6 sign (Texas "legal" no guns allowed sign) I'll let everyone know. If it's just a sign, those things are already all over the place.
The generic "no firearms" sign is really a way for the business owner to more easily prosecute actual criminals and is not aimed at the legal firearm wearer. At least that's the way it is in the Great State of Texas.

That's fer sure, TDdude. I ignore the non-Department of Public Safety-approved signs every day. You talking about the Costco at Willowbrook by any chance?

We have not Cosco stores hear, unless one sprang up while I was on the computer, but we do have the Home Depots. We have also had our share of violent incidents at the Home Depots involving Car Jackings, and one where a jealous boy friend entering the store where his girl friend worked, and opened fire.I suggest calling the Cosco folks on this because I have heard of some businesses in Texas posting restrictions.Remember Ludy's Restaurant;that one incident woke an entire nation up to the usefullness of 911 and public safety.
