High cap mag ban - ending soon?

I've heard it mentioned here that the legislation restricting magazines to 10 rounds will be "sunsetting" this year. Well, its the end of the year and so far, no chatter on the subject.

I am woefully ignorant of the whole subject and hope that some bastion of infomation could bring me, and those in my sad situation, up to speed on the topic.
