Walther P-22 ammo question?

I know you can shoot high-velocity rounds through the p22 but can you shoot hyper-velocity through it also? I wanted to try CCI Stingers through it but I'm not sure if the p22 can handle it.

Yes you can I own a P22 and love it , it will eat almost any 22 ammo and seems to prefer the hi-speed stuff , after about 500 round break in it came into its own, most 22 auto-loading pistols will shoot a few hundred round but being the 22 ammo is pretty dirty they need a good cleaning...that barrel nut was loose after each shooting, some guys said use red lock tight...I dont just snug it up....I also read that some guys were not happy with the P22...................I thought it was great and everybody who shot it, loved it....light accurate what more could you ask for in a 22 for that price....good luck

Thanks SailBoatMike for the reply. But have you tried CCI stingers through your p22? The reason I ask is because a friend of mine has a p22 also, and after he fired a box of Stingers through it, he noticed alot of wear on the slide.

I tried about all the ammo I had to see which ones worked best, I so far have seen any wear on the slide, I dont use stingers for cost reasons...I buy the milk cartons of hi-speed 22 for cheap at Sports Authority or Wallmart......anything is possable , stingers have been know to cause problems in older 22's....Guys with expensive Colt pre-war Woodsman& High Standards and some other models of value will never use stingers......they just werent made for that power, if the guy is showing you wear, leave the stingers be, to be honest they really arent worth the extra money....try some ballatics of your own take some magazines or newspapers soak them in a bucket, let them drip somewhat dry and shoot your 22 ammo at them ,then check for
