Hey folks, I am about to buy my first centre-fire pistol and I have narrowed it down to two choices: CZ75B .40SW Beretta 96FS .40SW I have read positive reviews of both, and both seem to be a natural fit for my hand. The CZ, of course, is a cheaper. Other than price, could some of you seasoned shooters think of reasons to purchase one pistol over the other? Thanks

well the cz is a good gun for the money but you owe it to your self to look at the new xd by srpringfield. but look around and try to shoot a couple of different ones and hold and feel different ones, which ever feels right to you that is the one. good luck RONNIE45

the berettas eat locking blocks like candy , the failures can be and are horrendous and regular... do not buy any beretta products in hangun form uless you have a strong masochistic streak...even the glocks are better than the berettas...we cannot keep beretta pistols in service or rental due to constant frame and lockingblock breakage...even the tomcat 32s are failing and cracking frames...over 60% of the berettas sold are going in for warranty service within a few hundred rounds...buy the cz or even a highpoint , avoid berettas like the plauge...
