Consider what the OSHA regulations are, do they prohibit firearm or excessively dangerous items to be carried by employees? And about your handgun in the car, just put it inside a small locked safe secured to your car I'm sorry to say it, but if the business says that they don't want to have a person even with a gun in their car, you should know before hand that you either don't get a job there, or don't carry your gun in your car per their request. I'm sure that if someone is stalking you or something and you speak to the business management, something could be worked out. I am most likely going crazy, but I believe that you could get some sort of court order to permit you to carry a weapon for self defence-higher than a regular CCW (in an emergency-stalking or fear of death) and if the company fired you for that....I would probrably hire an attorney

Gweedo; One problem with some of these company policies are that they are subject to change without notice.A person might have thirty years vested with an organization when one day a new human resources manager might post a new revision to an age old corporate policy.Too late to jump ship on a move like that.OSHA is more concerned with the safety hazards involved on a job site and safety equiptment used to prevent injuries, exposure, and job related issues.

I've always wanted to quote myself. ;D
My opinion hasn't changed. There are some great and tiny pistols out there. If I were in one of those no carry situations, I would definately get one. Perhaps that small Kahr with a pocket holster would do the trick.

Depends where you work. In my line of work, drinking a beer in the parking lot would get me fired. No open carry in my state (FL) so that is not an issue. Interestingly enough, the laws about carrying a gun in the car are more liberal than the laws about carrying alcohol.

Thanks to one of our "Tied to the apron strings of his old lady" Govenors, Zell What's his name; having an open container of Beer in your car will get you a big fine, on your breath will get you more trouble than imaginable. Because of Mister Zell, who is a Senator now, ( What idiots voted for him, I'll never know ),I give up contributing money to the Alcohal Tax Revenue in my State. I am,and have been a caffine junky since a tenure of four years I spent on a Government installation, and many coffee clubs. Thanks Alot Zell

It amazes me everyday when I think about some of our elected representatives. Look at NY, there is some lady named Clinton in the Senate?? Who voted for her?? Wow DA, you are hardcore devoted. Good for you. I guess if you want a drink, you can still go to the sunshine state and not give the Governor of your state tax revenue. Good reason to go to the beach!

Living in Georgia is a business of survival, and keeping The Fraternal Order of Good Ole Boys in check most of the time.I have my hey day coming up soon because I'm getting very close to jury duty selection again. ;D
