"The 19 is the best period"
I used to have a Glock. I shot it a while, and sold it. I satisfied my desire to own a piece of Austrian perfection, and no longer feel the itch. It was OK, an adequate pistol for carry, but not the best I have carried.
I bought a 1911 about a year later. I now own four more. I just shoot them better, and I like them better.
The idea of the "best" pistol is a illusion. There are no best guns. There is only what a given shooter performs with best.

HogRider; It truly breaks my heart to see the 21 go. ;D Looks like you've already been inducted into the "Boy's Club".I might start up a new site, how does "The 1911 Boy's Club" sound? I'm always open to new suggestions, but more so when those suggestions are applied to something with purpose.

DA, would you make the 1911 Boys Club software replace the word "Glock" with "thingyed"? ;D

DA, Don't forget about dress code. I don't think it is proper to post about a fine weapon such as the 1911 wearing underwear.

Today I visited my FFL and inspected my new piece. Evertyhing looked fine, and I started the paperwork, just have to wait out the 10 day now. I am pretty satisfied, hope I didn't disappoint. Here is the first photo I have of my new addition taken off the auction and it's description as advertised. Better pics to come when I get it in my hands. "... LIKE NEW Loaded Springfield Armory 1911 style pistol with upgraded Wilson combat parts. The pistol has a Parkerized finish, night sights, 2 magazines, and the following Wilson Combat parts: Beavertail grip safety, Magazine well extension, Ultralight target trigger. The pistol is in like new condition. There has been less than 1 box of ammo fired through it. The Wilson Combat parts really make this an excellent shooting gun. "
